On the evening of Wednesday 8th January, a night usually reserved for a community Holy Hour and supper, the staff and seminarians of Allen Hall were joined by around twenty seminarians from St.Paul”s seminary, Minnesota and one of their professors. The group are on an extended trip to England visiting sites in Canterbury, Oxford, Birmingham and, of course, London – looking at the ministry and legacy of Blessed John Henry Newman.
The American seminarians joined the community of Allen Hall for a time of adoration in the chapel and then in the refectory for dinner. A few seminarians from Allen Hall then gave a brief tour to the visitors before they left for Ealing Abbey where they are staying while in London.
St Paul’s visit us every year, and it is good to compare experiences of formation and seminary life.
